Join La Puente staff and Community members for H.O.P.E. (Homeless Outreach and Prevention Education) Week . H.O.P.E. Week is a series of events meant to bring the community together to learn about homelessness in the San Luis Valley and the community-based programs to alleviate and prevent homelessness. La Puente will host three events throughout the week. Events include a candlelight vigil: a walk in solidarity for the homeless in the community. Stone Soup: an educational event for the children. (Volunteers are needed for this event. If you would like to participate please contact Autumn at director.vegi@lapuente.net.) And an open house barbecue and resource fair, with housing, health and employment resources.

Candlelight vigil, September 25, 6:30 pm. Starting at La Puente Home Shelter and ending at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alamosa.
Stone Soup, September 26. At Alamosa Elementary School, Alamosa.
Open house barbecue and resource fair, September 29, 12 pm. At La Puente’s Home Shelter, Alamosa.
