5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Denver Botanic Gardens
The Gardens dresses up for Halloween with luminaria-lined pathways, spooky lighting displays and hundreds of carved, glowing gourds. Using all real pumpkins harvested from local farms, pumpkin artists push the boundaries of traditional pumpkin carving to create larger-than-life sculptures, dense displays of jack-o-lanterns and ornately detailed showpiece pumpkins. In addition to the pumpkin sculptures and creepy atmosphere, a wide array of activities take place, including trick-or-treating (BYOBag), fire performances, LED performers, pumpkin carving demos, Halloween caricatures, glow-in-the-dark games, carnival games, hands-on crafts and a scavenger hunt. Cost is $21 for adults ($19 adult member), $17 for children 3 to 15 ($15 for child member), free for children 2 and younger.
October 21-25, 5:30-9:30 pm. At the Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York Street, Denver.
