On June 18, 7:30-9 pm, Larry Kerecman and Eric Jacobson will share insight on how hydroelectric power in Ouray’s mines came down the mountain to light the town of Ouray, and will discuss the history and challenges faced at the power plant. $5 at the door; free for OCHS members. At the Ouray County Historical Society Library and Research Center, 722 Main Street, Ouray.

On June 19, 9 and 10:30 am, guests can take a tour of the Ouray Power Plant. Tour cost is $35 per person. Reservations are required in advance.
