Western Museum of Mining & Industry
Get a closeup look at antique outdoor machinery that is in working order, including a 1920s Osgood Steam Shovel, Trammer, and 10-Stamp Mill. The event is designed to build awareness and educate the community about the importance of these machines and others during the early mining days and how they played a role in Colorado mining history. More than 30 craft vendors and artisans from across the Pikes Peak region are expected to attend. Food vendors will be onsite; kids can take an old-fashioned barrel train ride and families can try their hands at panning for gold.
August 10-11, 9 am-4 pm. At the Western Museum of Mining & Industry, 225 North Gate Boulevard, Colorado Springs.
