Earl Warren

The U.S Supreme Court, where Earl Warren served until 1969.
Earl Warren (1891-1974) served as California’s governor before being appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court where he served until 1969.

It was 1946 in Oakland, California, and I was dressed in my Boy Scout uniform, hitchhiking home from a scout outing in the mountains.
